Sejny Region is well-known for its clean lakes, beautiful forests and gorgeous landscapes. Country roads and corn fields on their both sides are unforgettable "lively postcards" from this area. It is here, where in family households the clean and ecological food is being produced. Housekeepers still prepare dishes based on the traditional recipes inherited from their mothers and grandmothers. Country cooks are champions in preparing kartacze bliny or kakory. Famous sękacz (baumkuchen) and bread on kalmus are baked in many houses. Taste of these dishes is unique and rare, while their aroma recollects "former times".
